Public account subscriptions

Public account subscriptions

This section contains a table with information about public account subscriptions:

Please note! Client accounts in this section are accounts with the Copy trading management type, displayed to the client as subscriptions (with operations available only through the Copy Trading section of the client terminal or through the admin terminal). Details on the settings for such accounts are described in the Copytrading accounts article.
Important! To subscribe to a public account, the client account must have an account group assigned to special accounts when creating a subscription. Otherwise, the subscription is not possible. Groups for special accounts are assigned according to the following priority:
1.Overridden account group when creating and editing a public account (applies to all accounts that subscribe to a specific public account);
2.Copy trading account group field of the profile group. Applies to accounts created for client profiles that belong to the group, if no Overridden account group is specified in the public account;
3.If none of the settings above are specified, the Account group specified in the broker's Copy Trading settings is applied to the account.

The table contains the following information about public account subscriptions:

Clicking the ... button in the row of an active subscription opens a menu with the following options:

  • The Pause button allows you to pause an active subscription.

  • The Resume button activates a paused subscription.

  • The Cancel button allows you to close an active subscription. After clicking it, a sidepage opens where you can select the account (Transfer to) to which funds will be transferred from the special account created for position copying:

  • The Edit option allows you to change the fee values saved in the subscription:

    • For Management Fee, you can change the Fee amount.
    • For Performance Fee, you can change the Profitsharing percentage.
    • Calculation periods cannot be changed.
    • If a fee of the corresponding type was not saved when the subscription was created, it cannot be added when editing the subscription.

The table can be filtered by Public account ID, Subscriber account ID, Subscription ID, Close date, and subscription Status, as well as the subscriber Profile.

Please note! Subscription status data is updated every minute.
Also note! Fees are saved in the subscription when it is created. Subsequent changes to the public account tariff or broker fees do not automatically change the conditions of an existing subscription.

Subscription mechanism

For each new subscription, the system performs the following actions:

  1. Balance check: If the account's Total assets (for non-margin accounts) or Margin balance (for margin accounts) is less than the minimum subscription amount, the Not enough money message is displayed. If the account has an insufficient currency balance, subscribing to the public account is not possible.
  2. If the balance is sufficient, the subscription coefficient (k) is calculated, determining the amount for which positions from the public account are copied. The coefficient is calculated in the public account currency specified in its Netting settings: - For margin accounts: k = subscriber account Margin balance / public account Margin balance, rounded to 6 decimal places; - For non-margin accounts: k = subscriber account Total assets / public account Total assets, rounded to 6 decimal places.
Example: Margin balance available on the subscriber account: 2 500 USD Margin balance on the public account: 10 000 USD Minimum deposit for subscribing to the public account: 1000 USD The calculation is as follows: 2 500 (subscriber account balance) / 10 000 (minimum deposit) = 0.25
Please note! A non-margin account cannot subscribe to a margin public account.

The subscription coefficient is recalculated in the following cases:

  • When subscribing to a public account;
  • When deposits, withdrawals, or transfers are made on the public account or subscriber account;
  • When the subscription fee is calculated and charged to the subscriber (the coefficient is recalculated after the fee transaction is created, i.e. after the subscriber account balance changes);
  • When a paused subscription is resumed;
  • On Sunday at 03:00 in the broker's time zone.

Subscription notifications

In some cases, notifications related to events on the subscriber account may be sent to the broker and the client. In the Events section, templates can be edited for the following notifications:

  • Copy trading no margin (sent to the broker and subscriber) - when there are insufficient funds on the subscriber account and the subscription is paused;
  • Copy trading public balance (sent to the subscriber) - when the public account balance changes;
  • Copy trading margin call (sent to the subscriber) - when the margin usage exceeds 100% and the stop-out level is reached. The subscription is paused;
  • Copy trading rebalance (sent to the subscriber) - when positions are rebalanced, resulting in a coefficient change;
  • Copy trading balance warning (sent to the subscriber) - if, after the coefficient is recalculated, Margin balance (for margin accounts) or Total assets (for non-margin accounts) is less than the amount required for subscription (0.98 x Minimum deposit);
  • Copy trading position warning - at 10:00 UTC if positions differ for one or more instruments;
  • Copy trading subscribe (sent to the subscriber) - when a public account subscription starts;
  • Copy trading pause (sent to the subscriber) - when a public account subscription is paused;
  • Copy trading resume (sent to the subscriber) - when a public account subscription is resumed;
  • Copy trading cancel (sent to the subscriber) - when cancellation of the subscription is initiated at the client's request;
  • Copy trading close (sent to the subscriber) - when cancellation of the subscription at the client's request is completed (positions are closed and the subscription is terminated);
  • Copy trading no routing (sent to the subscriber and broker) - when errors occur while copying positions (if no execution account is selected, if the order cannot be executed, or if the execution timeout is exceeded).
