Daily operations

Daily operations

Summary

This section contains all the actions that need to be taken according to the settings you have previously set up in order to successfully close the day.

We strongly recommend closing the days on time, otherwise we do not guarantee correct operation of the system.

To easily switch between days in the calendar, you can use the Shift + arrows hotkeys.

eod_filters_ru.png

The section allows filtering of accounts for further operations:

  • All - selection of all accounts
  • Client - selection of only client accounts
  • Provider - selection of only provider accounts
  • Internal - selection of only internal accounts
  • Account group - selection of one or several account groups
  • Account - selection of one or more accounts

The Close Day button is used to close the day on the accounts selected using filters. The counter of open accounts in the broker is displayed next to the button.

The button Close day finally is intended for closing a day in the broker's profile. It is displayed only if all necessary daily operations have been performed beforehand and days for all accounts have been closed.

The Reopen button opens an already closed day in the broker.

The Reopen Day button opens closed days on the accounts selected using the filter. The counter of closed accounts in the broker is displayed next to the button.

Please note! If you reopen the day for at least one of the accounts, the day in the broker will also be reopened.
Please note! When switching from the Daily operations section to any other section, the account filtering settings are saved.

Status

The tab displays all daily operations within the broker that require manual processing.

daily_operations_summary_status.png

To process any type of operation, click the red button with a triangle icon next to it. Once the operation is successfully processed, the red button will be replaced with a green checkmark icon.

Please note! Netting operations that are ready to be executed and marked with a yellow icon are optional.

Also, when performing any of the operations, a notification appears about its success or error. If errors occur related to a managed broker profile (for example, a white label), the notification indicates the ID and profile of such broker.

To navigate to the section with the required operation type and view details by instruments/accounts, simply click on the operation name.

Clicking on the Open Accounts or Closed Accounts fields will open a side page where you can select the relevant accounts to display information for in the section.

EOD rates

The section displays the end-of-day closing rates for instruments.

daily_operations_summary_eod_rates.png

The rates are automatically recorded at the end of the trading day. If necessary, you can modify the rate for an instrument by entering the desired value in its row and clicking the Save button.

Please note! The section also includes instruments involved in margin calculations (for example, if an end-of-day rate is available for an option, the underlying instrument for that option will also be displayed).

A filter by Instrument is available in the tab.

EOD time zone

EOD time zoneset in the broker settings - according to this time zone, daily transactions are performed and the day is closed. If the EOD time zone is not set, then Daily Operations are performed in accordance with the Broker's time zone. eod-time-zone.png

Position trades

  • Information about Detached Trades is described in the corresponding article of the help section.

  • Unprocessed trades trades can appear here in case of some possible errors in the system, code, crashes or system bugs. Please note! If you find trades in this section - contact the platform support as soon as possible.

Example: Trades that were processed by trading engine, but platform did not. The Trading engine is the part of the software that records all open orders in the market and generates new trades if two orders can be executed by each other. If the trades are here - there is nothing the broker himself can do, the system will not allow him to close the day. You must either pass them through the Failed executions section (only system admin can do this), or delete them, in order to process them. In case the parent broker manually enters any transactions or transactions on the client's account into the system.
  • Swap close rates only apply to those who have selected a rollover at their broker for some currency or instrument group at market price.

  • Swap swap transactions are automatically generated based on the settings, validation dates take into account holidays.

Important: When swaps are executed using the arrow button in the Daily operations section, the system uses existing swap rates. When swaps are executed using the Make Swaps button in the Position trades ➝ Swaps subsection, the swap rates (Close rate and Open rate) that are set in the pop-up window during the operation will be used. eod-make-swaps.png

Filters by instrument and asset type are available in this tab.

  • Expired positions relate to instruments that have reached their expiry date. They require closing at the actual close as made by the liquidity provider.

Event trades

Dividends

  • Dividends when there is an ex-dividend date specified in the instrument, for all clients who have some portfolio for this instrument on this date, this section will be filled with dividends (or taxes) to be charged to the client. Transactions with the dividend type appear:

daily_operations_dividends.png

The following information is available in the dividend table:

NameDescription
Accountthe number of the account in which the dividend is to be made
Instrumentthe instrument on which the dividends are to be made
Position amountthe volume of the instrument position on the account
Value per sharethe value per unit of the asset in the position
Tax percenttax percentage on dividend accrual (set in the Tax profiles section)
Value datevalue date of the dividend trade (payment date of the dividend)
Transaction datetrade date (ex-dividend date)
Statustransaction status

A filter by instrument is available in the section.

Important! The dividend payment process is arranged as follows: - Ex-dividend date – the date of dividend formation. Such operations are mandatory on the same day. The dividend amount is formed and displayed in Future cashflow. - Dividend payment date – the start date of actual payments. Does not guarantee that the broker will receive the payment immediately, as there may be delays on the part of the provider. For this reason, the platform allows you to close the day without mandatory netting. This process cannot be automated, as the moment of receipt of dividends may vary. Therefore, the business decision on conducting transactions remains with the broker. After the transaction, the amount from Future cashflow goes to Current balance. The situation is similar with taxes, since they are directly related to the accrual of dividends. The broker can carry out nettings after receiving funds and close the days before that moment without any problems.

To make dividends, you need to click on the Make dividends button. After the dividends are made, they will change status from the Ready to the Exists.

You can cancel a dividend by clicking on the trash can icon.

Note! To cancel a dividend, it is necessary to cancel the existing transactions on the trade with it beforehand. When attempting to cancel a dividend, the system will indicate the transaction numbers (dividend transaction and tax transaction) to be deleted.
Also note! The section does not display zero positions.

Split provider

  • Information about Splits is described in the corresponding article in the help section.

Custody fee

  • Custody fee is charged for the upkeep of the shares. It is calculated monthly and is shown as a percentage per year.
Please note! Custody fees are not calculating for short positions.

The following columns are provided in the section for such trades:

NameDescription

InstrumentInstrument for which the custody fee is charged
Asset amountInstrument amount on which the custody fee is charged
Quote amountQuoted amount
EOD rateInstrument price at the close of the day

Trade IDTrade identifier in the system
Trade dateDate of trade execution
Value dateValue date of the trade

CommentCommentary to the trade (as a rule - indication of the date for which the custody fee is charged)
Comments on the statuses: Ready - trade is ready to proceed Exists - trade is already made Close previous day - it is necessary to close previous operational days to be able to make a trade
Important! With five-day trading, custody fees are formed only for working days: from Tuesday to Friday - standard commission calculated for each previous day of custody, and on Monday - triple commission (for Friday and weekends). If the Trading without weekends setting is enabled in the broker's settings, a standard commission is formed for each of the seven days of the week.

Min custody fees

In this tab you can make custody fee transactions if Min month custody fee amount is set in the tariff settings. This fee is applied if the monthly transaction amount is less than the minimum set value.

When using the minimum custody fee setting, the custody fee itself is charged each day and deducted in a single transaction at the end of the month.

Please note! When using the Auto netting function in the netting settings, transactions to debit the custody fee are performed on a daily basis.

All transactions can be made at once using the Make custody fees button.

Please note: You can only cancel existing transactions from the History section or from the transaction subsection of a specific account.

Copytrading fees

This tab displays the subscription fees for public accounts.

Fees can be processed at once by clicking the Make copytrading fee button in the top right corner of the table.

Each fee for a specific account can be processed by clicking the Make copytrading fee button in the corresponding row of the table.

Introducer fee

  • Introducer fee is the fee for the customers brought into the system.

Coupon

Coupon applies to bonds and works on the same principle as dividends on stocks.

daily_operations_coupons.png

The table includes the following fields:

NameDescription

Position amountamount of the instrument in the position

Coupon pricePrice per coupon (Quote amount / Position amount)

StatusStatus of the operation

Clicking the Make coupons button will process all coupon payments for the current day.

A filter by Instrument is available in this subsection.

Transactions

  • Unlinked transactions occur when a prime broker manually makes transactions on an account that is common with the subordinate broker. For example, if a superior broker has made a cash-in to a white label broker's account, then a transaction of this type will appear in the Unlinked Transactions tab and the white label will need to link it to the account of the required client.

  • Conversion in this subsection conversions are prepared for those accounts for which the corresponding setting is set in the Netting settings under the Conversions subsection. Conversion is always a CASH-instrument operation. I.e. one currency is debited and another is credited. They can be sorted by netting type, instrument, base currency and category. Even if these types of instruments are not available to the client for trading, the conversion will still be a CASH instrument. Conversions always result in a real balance change. Conversions are shown as references to the instrument whose transaction was the catalyst. But the conversion transaction is CASH.

  • Netting - is the settlement that takes place on that day, from the definition "The process by which a customer's monetary claims are set off against his monetary obligations. The netting results in a net balance for each client - a position" - you can understand that this is netting. In the system, netting is any cash movement on accounts (except cash-in and cash-out). In this subsection transactions are prepared to transfer assets/funds between accounts within the system. The transactions are prepared automatically by the system based on TRADES. No changes can be made here; in order to change a transaction, the appropriate changes must first be made in TRADES.

Please note! For convenience, filtering by several instruments is available in the nettings tab.

The following filters are available in the tab:

NameDescription
Netting typesnetting types (e.g., daily P/L, tax, dividend)
Sub typenetting subtype (e.g. transfer fee, minimum custody fee)
Instrumentinstrument name
Currencyquoted currency of the instrument
Categoryinstrument category

Important! If auto-netting is enabled, transactions for netting and auto-conversions are executed immediately with the actual value date. If netting is performed on an instrument without a TOD tenor, conversions and netting will be executed immediately, but at the end of the trading day, the section will still indicate that they have not yet been processed. {.is-warning}

There are the following types of netting

  • Non-zero nominal account negative balances of some currencies are displayed here if they are in the nominal accounts opened in the system.

  • Negative account it shows all client accounts with negative balances for some currencies.

  • EOD-rates are loaded automatically from the source linked to the platform. If necessary it's possible to connect other sources. The rates are loaded at 00 o'clock according to the broker's time zone.

  • Under management accounts can either be accounts opened at the broker that are opened at other organisations that use the platform; or it can be the primary broker's account at the white label.

Please note! If the white label has already closed the day, the broker can not change the account; you have to ask the white label to open the day first.

Automatization

In the Automatization subsection, you can set up automatic execution of daily operations.

daily_operations_automatization_1.png

It is recommended to set the time for automatic operations in the sequence in which they are specified in the section.
Important: In order for the specified automatization settings to work, all previous days in the system must be closed beforehand.
For correct operations, the time of the first operation must be set to at least 00:01, and the time difference between each operation must be at least one minute.

Click on + next to any of the operations to open the window of its automation settings. For Close day finally operation, it is necessary to tick the corresponding checkbox.
