Shadow ledger
Shadow ledger
The section is intended for analytical accounting of how client and broker funds are allocated among real accounts.
Note: The data specified on this tab does not affect actual account data.
The section allows you to reconcile the total balances in client and house accounts with the balances in real accounts and determine what portion of each account's funds is allocated to a particular real account.
Allocations are maintained separately for each asset and date. Funds in different assets are accounted for independently: cross rates and automatic conversions between assets do not apply.
Shadow ledger is used for analytical accounting only. Changing and saving allocations in this section does not change account balances in the trading platform.

The table filters allow you to select:
Date- the date for which you want to view or change the allocation;Asset- an asset for which there is a discrepancy between the balances in client and provider accounts. An indicator is displayed for assets with unallocated funds. Otherwise, the table displays only data with a zero discrepancy:
Real account, if necessary - the account whose data you want to display.
The following information is also displayed at the top of the page:
Suspense- the unallocated amount in the selected asset across all accounts;Clients with delta- the number of client accounts with a discrepancy in the asset relative to provider accounts.
Accounts in the table are grouped by type:
Client accounts- client accounts;House accounts- the broker's house accounts.
In each group, accounts are divided into two blocks:
Awaiting verification- accounts with a balance change whose allocation has not yet been saved;Allocated accounts- accounts for which an allocation has been saved.
The following information is displayed for each account:
- A summary of the asset in the account:
Incoming- the incoming balance;Δ- the existing balance change in the selected asset.Balance including the specified deltas/Current asset balance in the account;Outgoing- the outgoing balance. Calculated asIncoming+Δ.
- Allocation controls:
- account ID and name;
Incoming- the incoming balance;Δ- the existing balance change in the selected asset;Outgoing- the outgoing balance. Calculated asIncoming+Δ;% from total- the ratio of theΔspecified for the provider to the totalΔfor the client account, expressed as a percentage.
Allocating a balance change
To allocate a balance change in a client or house account:
- Select a date and an asset.
- Find the account in the
Awaiting verificationblock. - In the field for the required real account, specify the delta - the amount by which the funds in this account changed in the selected real account (provider account).
- If necessary, allocate the change among multiple real accounts. After you enter the values, the
Δrow displays the balance including the specified deltas. - Click Save.
If the delta becomes zero after you enter the value, the account moves from the Awaiting verification block to the Allocated accounts block.
Note: If some funds remain unallocated when the table is saved, they are assigned to a provider account for which a delta has already been specified.
Allocation for the next date
When you select the next date, the allocation saved for the previous day is used. Therefore, you only need to review and allocate the balance changes that occurred.
If all of the client's funds in the asset were allocated to a single real account, the system automatically recalculates the allocation after the balance changes.
In all other cases, the change must be allocated manually.
Viewing allocations by real account
To check which accounts have funds allocated to a particular real account, select the asset and the Real account (provider account).
The Allocated accounts block displays client and house accounts with saved allocations to the selected real account:
