Steps
Steps
Each step in the platform is created by linking an existing questionnaire to it.

The steps in the table are represented by records containing the following fields:
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| ID | Unique identifier of the step in the platform |
| Name | Step name |
| Step type | Step type (Internal - a questionnaire created inside the platform, Sumsub - a questionnaire created in the Sumsub service) |
| Step content | Step content displays the name of the questionnaire it contains. |
| Expiration time | The expiration date of the questionnaire (if set) |
| OTP Required | Set to Yes if OTP (one-time password signing option) is enabled for the questionnaire |
Each step can be deleted by clicking the Delete button in the sidepage of its edit.
Please note! The steps in the table are always sorted in ascending order of ID.
Creating a new step
The Create step button allows you to open the sidepage of creating a new step.
To create a step, select the provider - Internal or Sumsub (if integration is connected), set its name for different locales and link an existing questionnaire to it. Once the Create button is clicked, the new step will be available for use.

Please note! Each created questionnaire can only be used in one step.
When creating a step, you can also specify a Code for its further use in the Documents section.
The OTP Required checkbox in the step settings allows to enable signing of the questionnaire by SMS or WhatsApp message.
In this case, when sending the questionnaire for verification, the client will have to enter the code from the SMS ot or WhatsApp message sent to his phone number.
Please note! The function of signing the page by OTP works if only the method of authorization by phone number is enabled in the broker settings (Brokers ➝ Broker ➝ Authorization).
Creating a step containing a document
Please note! To create such a step, document templates must first be created in the Documents section. Document templates that will be displayed on the questionnaire page are specified in the Document template field.

Fields to fill:
| Name | Description |

| Name | The name of the document |
| Code | Document code used to display OTP-related formulas in the Documents section |
| Document title | The title displayed in the document window |
| Document description | A description of the document |
| Document footer | The text displayed to the client in the footer of the document |
| Document Template | selected document templates from the Documents section that will be shown to the client at a specific KYC step |
| Expires in | The expiration period for the document before it needs to be re-uploaded by the client. After the expiration date, the client will be blocked from trading until they re-enter the step and receive verification from the broker. |
| OTP required | When enabled, the client must verify the form using an OTP code |
Please note! If an expiration date is set for a step, this field will be locked for editing during verification.
Important! In theFormulastab of the Documents section, formulas related to signing forms usingOTPwill only be displayed if a code is specified for the step.
Editing a step
The Edit button allows you to edit an existing step. The name and questionnaire can be changed in any of the steps. Similar localization content can also be changed.
Once you click Update, the changes will be applied.

Click Delete to delete the step.
Please note! Deleting step is allowed only if it is not used in the profile forms or step order.
