Link rules
Link rules
The Link rules section in the broker settings allows you to configure automatic linking of external unlinked transactions to broker accounts.
The rules are applied as soon as a transaction reaches the broker instance. This functionality is intended, in particular, for a prime broker and downstream broker setup where transactions are received from an external source on their shared account.

Please note! Transactions of theCash In,Cash Out, andTransfertypes are excluded from automated linking. Such transactions remainUnlinkedand must be linked manually by the broker.
Default rule
The default rule applies to all supported transaction types for which no exceptions have been created.
In the Nominal account field, select the account to which external unlinked transactions will be linked by default. The selected nominal account must be open.
Exceptions
Exceptions allow you to specify a separate account for a particular transaction type. You can create any number of exceptions.
To create an exception, click Add exception and complete the following fields:
Transaction type- the transaction type to which the exception applies;Account- the account to which transactions of the selected type will be linked. Any account can be selected for an exception; it does not have to be a nominal account.

Click Save. To modify an existing exception, click it in the list, edit the settings, and save the changes.
When an external unlinked transaction is received, the rules are applied in the following order:
- Transactions of the
Cash In,Cash Out, andTransfertypes are not linked automatically. - If the transaction type matches an exception, the transaction is linked to the account specified in that exception.
- In all other cases, the transaction is linked to the nominal account selected in the default rule.
