Watchlist
The Watchlist
is a tool which allows you to view and monitor market data for selected trading instruments.
Please note! Asset prices in the watchlist tickers are shown with the accuracy of the MPI of the instrument.
To add a watchlist click the Add Widget button then select Watchlist from the drop-down menu. You can add an unlimited number of watchlists to your trading board.
For your convenience, you can add multiple Watchlists to use different instrument sets and different exchanges.
The choice of instruments in Watchlist affects the displayed instrument in such widgets as Ticket
, Chart
and Market Depth
.
“Dividend calendar” - here you can view dividends using all available instruments. Information on dividends is provided by the EOD History Data service. Ex-dividend date is the day on which equities begin trading without the right to receive the last declared dividend. If you buy equity this day or later, you are no longer eligible to receive this dividend. To receive payment, you must hold the position until this date. Payment data is the date of actual payment of dividends to the client’s account. Value is the value in the equities currency per equity.
Interest rates is the amount that a lender charges to a borrower for the loan of an asset.
To add an instrument to the watchlist click on Add Instrument
field then select the instrument you need from the drop-down menu. The number of instruments in each watchlist cannot exceed 50. There are two types of search for an instrument required for operation in the watchlist: type the instrument code in the Add instrument
field, or use fine-tuning by clicking on the tuning icon - here you can sort instruments by category, asset type, exchange or country there. The colour of the notifications depends on the instrument type.
To buy or sell any type of asset, click on the BUY and SELL buttons.
The size scale allows you to scale your buy/sell volumes. You can add a size scale to the watchlist by clicking the Σ button. You can customize your size scale for different instruments.
You can switch your Watchlist view between a list and grid forms by clicking the buttons ☰ and ❖, respectively.
List view
The list view contains next columns:
- Instrument - the list of the instruments you have added to the Watchlist
- Position - positions, orders and assets in your account
- PL - A profit and loss (PL) statement summarizes the revenues, costs and expenses incurred during a specific period.
- Day Range - shows the highest and lowest prices for a trading instrument during the day.
- Spread values are shown between Sell and Buy buttons
Pelase note! For instruments of the CASH type, values are not displayed in the Position
column, as an actual position is not formed for such instruments.
You can use the next functions in the list view:
- ☰ - to change the instruments position in the watchlist
- ⓘ - to get detailed information about the instrument. Please note that if the instrument do not have a dividend calendar, the calendar itself will not be displayed either.
- ⋯ - to remove an instrument from the watchlist
Quick trade functions:
- Sell - allows you to sell an asset. Also shows the best selling price for an asset in your Watchlist at current time.
- Buy - allows you to buy an asset. Also shows the best buying price for an asset in your Watchlist at current time.
When hovering over the instrument icon in the list you can see the next information:
- Currency type
- Instrument type
- Main session time frames
Grid view
- Day Range - returns the difference between the high and low prices of the day, represented as a percent of the closing value.
- Today - Daily Change, %. Daily change is an indicator that displays the difference in the price of an instrument between the close of the trading session and the current price. This indicator is used to estimate changes in the price of an instrument during one trading day.
- Spread values shown between SELL&BUY buttons.
Quick trade functions:
- SELL - allows you to sell an asset. Also shows the best selling price for an asset in your Watchlist at current time.
- BUY - allows you to buy an asset. Also shows the best buying price for an asset in your Watchlist at current time.
You can use the next functions in the grid view:
- ⓘ - to get detailed information about the instrument.
- ⋯ - to remove an instrument from the watchlist
- You can change the trading amount on each instrument by entering the desired amount into a line under Sell|Buy buttons
- You can change the instruments position in the watchlist just by dragging it
Please note! For Equity and Bonds categories the sell button is inactive in Hedging trading mode.
