Ticket

Ticket

The ticket is a unique number that is set for a specific order. The ticket carries a designation specifically within the software, which allows the client to trade on the platform. You can select the instrument for which you want to see information in the widget, if the instrument is not selected in the watchlist.

To switch the ticket instrument outside the Watchlist, click on the Ticket header and select the instrument you need. The colour of the notifications depends on the instrument type.

Please note! Switching instrument or its tenor in the Watchlist widget is also switches it in this widget.

There are two types of views of the ticket - Simple and Professional. You can switch it by clicking the gear button in the top right part of the ticket.

Please note! If the order cannot be placed at the current moment - the Sell/Buy buttons will be blocked and a prompt will appear on the screen with the reason for refusal of placement.
Please note! For categories Equity, Bonds the Sell button is inactive in Hedging trading mode.
Also note! If placing a market order is supported in the offline session of the instrument, the order will be executed at the beginning of the market session.
Important! Funds pending settlement (the Expected settlements field in the Margin widget) cannot be used for buying/selling.

The Calculator button in any type of ticket allows you to open a calculator window to calculate the amount required to buy/sell the desired volume of an asset:

Approx quantity field shows the rounded amount of the instrument's quote asset needed for placing the order. Exact amount field shows the exact amount of the instrument's quote asset needed for placing the order.

Please note! The values in the Approx quantity and Exact amount fields are calculated according to the Minimum order size of the selected instrument.

The Max amount button allows you to determine the maximum volume of the available quote asset for placing a trade order for the instrument.

When the Apply button is clicked, the calculated value of Exact amount will be inserted into the ticket's Amount field.

Please note! If the volume specified in the calculator is less than the minimum order size of the instrument, a dash is displayed in the value fields.
Also note! The calculation in the value fields is a multiple of the minimum order step.

Simple ticket type

  • Sell and Buy buttons are designed for Quick trading.
Please note! The Buy button is unavailable if there are currently no prices for the instrument.

  • Market tab in the ticket allows you to buy or sell a stock at the market's current best available price.

  • Limit tab in the ticket allows you to buy or sell a stock with a restriction on the maximum price to be paid or the minimum price to be received.

  • Stop tab in the ticket allows you to make a conditional order that uses a trailing amount, rather than a specifically stated stop price, to determine when to submit a market order.


Amount amount of assets expressed in pips. Additional icons in the amount line allow you to immediately select the number of equities you want to trade. The square icon in the 'amount' line allows you to quickly set the desired amount of assets you wish to buy or sell.


Price field (in the limit tab) allows you to set the price at which you want to make an order.


In the Stop loss column, you set an order to automatically sell assets when quotes fall to the level you have set. In the Take profit column, you set automatic sale of assets when quotes rise above the level you have set.

Important! Setting S/L and T/P is not possible for instruments of type Cash, as such orders are placed directly on positions, and Cash instruments do not form positions.

In the Trading details, you see the value of the margin, the effect on the margin, the margin after the trade.


Estimated commission - is an expected commission for a trade. Day Range - placed below the ticker, it shows the highest and lowest prices for a trading instrument during the day.

Professional ticket type

  • Sell and Buy buttons are designed for Quick trading.

The Order type displays deliverable or leverage of an asset, its duration and amount. There are following order types:

NameDescription
Marketorder is an order to buy or sell a stock at the market's current best available price.
Market if touchedis an order to buy or sell an asset at a price lower or higher than the market price.
Buy Limitan order to buy an asset at a price lower than the current market ask price. The order is triggered if the ask price equals or falls below the specified price in the order. Once triggered, the limit order is executed at the specified price or better, depending on liquidity.
Sell Limitan order to sell an asset at a price higher than the current market bid price. The order is triggered if the bid price equals or exceeds the specified price in the order. Once triggered, the limit order is executed at the specified price or better, depending on liquidity.
Limit if touchedinitially its price will be set at the level favourable for the current market. If the market price starts to move away from the initial trigger price, the trigger and limit price will follow the market and will be adjusted by the sliding amount and limit shift set by the user.
Trailing Stopa type of order used to limit losses if the price moves against the trader. When the specified trailing stop value is reached, the order is executed. The value can also be adjusted after the order is placed.
Buy Stopa pending order to buy an asset at a price higher than the current market ask price. This order is triggered when the ask price reaches or exceeds the level specified in the order.
Sell Stopa pending order to sell an asset at a price lower than the current market bid price. This order is triggered when the bid price reaches or falls below the level specified in the order.
Stop-Limit orderis sending a limit order to buy or sell when the specified stop trigger price is reached or surpassed.
OCO (One cancels the other) orderis a pair of conditional orders stipulating that if one order executes, then the other order is automatically canceled.

Day Range - placed below the ticker, it shows the highest and lowest prices for a trading instrument during the day.


The Ignore Previous Order Type setting in User settings, allows you to ignore previous saved Order Type and Time In Force values for instruments, categories and assets.


Order types for quick trade in grid mode:

Default - Market IOC is placing (if it is available in order type set for the particular instrument), If Market IOC is not available then Limit IOC, if both Limit IOC and Market IOC are not available, then quick trade is blocked.

Market – Market IOC order is placing.

Limit – Limit IOC order is placing.

Market-Limit – if no value is set in the cell for slippage - then Market IOC, if value is set (including 0) – than Limit IOC, if it is not available then quick trade is blocked.

Please note! If the specific order type that is used in the quick trade is not available, then this quick trade type also will not be available.

Duration types:

  • G.T.C (Good-till-Cancelled) is an order that uses this type of Duration will work until the order is filled or cancelled.

  • I.O.C (Immediate-Or-Cancel) is an order to buy or sell a stock that must be executed immediately. IOC orders allow partial execution.

  • Fill Or Kill is an order to buy or sell at a specified price or better. Must be executed or cancelled immediately.

  • G.T.D (Good-till-Date "Good Till Date") is a type of order that remains active until a certain date unless executed or cancelled before then.

  • Day - order will stay open until it is executed during the trading day, or until the relevant market closes.


Amount - amount of assets expressed in pips. Additional icons in the amount line allow you to immediately select the number of equities you want to trade. The square icon in the 'amount' line allows you to quickly set the desired amount of assets you wish to buy or sell.


Price Tolerance - Between the moment of order placement and its reception by the provider some time passes. Price tolerance sets the allowable price change for the order, so it will still be executed and will not be cancelled.


Reduce only slider allows you to refer only to the reducing of the position, as soon as the order has nothing to reduce - it will cancel itself.


In the Stop loss column, you set an order to automatically sell assets when quotes fall to the level you have set.

In the Take Profit column, you set an order for the automatic sale of assets when the quotes rise above the level you have specified. A Take Profit order is used to lock in profits. It is triggered when the specified price is reached (or better in the market). The mechanics are the same for both short and long positions: the order is triggered when the bid price is reached for Sell orders or the ask price for Buy orders.


In the Trading details, you see the value of the margin, the effect on the margin, the margin after the trade. Post-trade margin - the free margin that will remain after the order is placed. Estimated commission - is an expected commission for a trade.


To place order client should:

  1. Choose particular instrument by clicking into it.
  2. In list mode - amount is indicated in top row with preset amounts, it could be changed by choosing another amount in the top row, in grid mode amount can also be indicated from keyboard
  3. Check if the order type specified in the top line suits current requirements.
  4. In the Order comment field you can add any information you need up to 30 characters (optional).

Ticket information window

Click on the icon to view information about the trading instrument. Here you can see detailed information about the instrument and trading chart.

Last update shows when the quote was received.


For bonds, you can also see the YTM (yield to maturity) value as a percentage, as well as the accrued coupon value.

YTM (Yield to Maturity) is the yield on an investment in a bond if the buyer intends to hold the bond to maturity.

For bonds, the information window displays a separate tab - Coupon Calendar: ticket_info_coupon_calendar.png

It displays information about coupon payment dates, their amounts and interest rates.
